On June 21 the Krush! team met with EVN staff and wine industry professionals to taste three high profile Voskehat wines. For this tasting we had 5 EVN professionals and representatives from Alluria, Genatoun, Voskevaz and Zakarè wineries.
Here’s the results:
First Place (90-92 points) Zorah Voskì 2015
Second Place (87-89 points) Voskevaz Karsai Collection Voskehat 2015
Third Place (86-88 points) ArmAs Voskehat Reserve 2013
Our comparison wine was a 2015 Viogner from Alban Vineyards. This wine gets ratings of 92-93 points from the major wine publications. The group gave it scores ranging from 89-91 points.
The favorite of the group was the Zorah Voski, a beautifully balanced wine with bright quince, lemon and kiwi fruit on the palate followed by a long smooth finish. This wine was fermented and aged in concrete tanks and no oak was used.
