Description

Alluria’s Reserve is a blend of Haghtanak and Kharmrahyut made at the firm’s Etchmiadzin winery. Both of these varieties produce high sugar content grapes and dark red juice, so it is no surprise that Alluria’s reds are highly concentrated, high alcohol wines. The Reserve is aged in oak following fermentation.

Tasting Notes: Deep red, purple color. The new oak adds perfume to the nose and helps frame the fruit on the palate, but the wine is still dominated by a wall of tannin. This wine needs time to reveal its potential. An experiment worth trying.
