Description

Made from estate grown fruit and aged in a mix of new French oak and new Artsakh oak barrels, this ArmAs Reserve is made from 100% Karmrahyut grapes.

The 2013 vintage won a Gold Medal at the 2017 International Wine Awards.

Tasting Notes: Light purple color to the rim. Highly perfumed nose, with floral elements, chamomile tea, dried herbs over a base of vanilla oak. The perfume on the nose carries over to the palate where it is joined by black currant and cranberry fruit. A nicely balanced wine with a smooth finish.

Like many Karmrahyut wines, the flavor profile of this wine is unique and controversial. In our group it was either rated as the number one wine, or the least favorite by most of our tasters, making it impossible to reach a consensus score. We urge you to try this wine because if you like it, you will want to seek out and try other Karmrahyut wines. But don’t be surprised if it’s not your thing.
