Description
Kataro’s Dry Red Wine is Domaine Avetissyan’s entry level wine. Made in the Togh Village winery, it is a blend of estate grown and purchased Sireni grapes (Kataro prefers to use the Sireni name instead of Khndoghni). It is fermented in steel and bottled with no time in oak.
Tasting Notes: Deep red color. Dark red fruits on the nose, similar to a Syrah from the Rhone that has not seen any oak. Body like a cabernet, but light on the palate. Good tannic structure, expect this wine will reveal more fruit as it ages.
