Description
Kataro’s Reserve Sireni is made from estate grown Khndoghni grapes and aged in Artsakh oak. (Kataro is using Sireni as a more user friendly term for Khndoghni).
This wine won a Silver Medal at the 2017 International Wine Awards.
Tasting Notes: Dark purple color to the rim. Nice blend of oak and dark red fruits on the nose. Great balance between the sweet fruit on the palate and the tannic structure of this wine. Somewhere between a California Cab and an Australian Shiraz in terms of weight and fruit profile. Carries it’s oak well, everything suggests added complexity will come with age.
