Armenia Wine Company
Armenia Wine Company is one of the “Big Three” of Armenian wine. The winery is located in Sasunik Village, Aragatsotn, roughly 45 minutes north of Yerevan. Several tours are available and should be booked in advance (by phone or online).
Armenia Wine Company markets its wines under several labels:
- Tariri which features red and white blends of Armenian and European grape varieties.
- Takar which features red, white & Sparkling wines made from Armenian grape varieties
- Armenia which is a wide range of red, white, sparkling, semi-sweet and fruit wines
Armenia Wine Company purchases grapes for many of its wines, but also owns vineyards and is in the process of expanding their vineyard holdings. The wines are made under the direction of General Consultant Jean-Baptise Soula.
Takar wines won two medals and Tariri won one medal at the 2017 International Wine Awards.
