Takri was started by a group of Diaspora Armenians who own vineyards in Banazur, Artsakh. The first vintages were made in Semina/WineWorks Yerevan “Incubator” winery, but production is now moved to the new WineWorks Stepanakert winery.
Takri currently makes two Khndoghni red wines, a regular bottle and a reserve which is aged in Artsakh oak barrles. Takri uses the popular and easier to pronounce Sireni name for the Khndoghni grape.
