In 2008, Californian Varuzhan Mouradian fully committed to his dream of making wine in Armenia, purchasing land in Ashtarak and moving his entire family to Armenia.
The setting is beautiful, with views of Mount Ararat, Mount Aragats and the Yerevan skyline. The land is planted to Areni, Haghtanak, Kahket, Syrah, and Kangun. The wines are made on site. In 2018, a new wine making building will be complete and the old winery fully converted to a visitor center. It should be open to the public in 2018, but it is still best to call ahead of your visit.
