Voskeni Winery

The Mateossian family has a long history with Voskeni. Smbat Mateossian, an American Armenian from Boston, moved to Armenia in the 1920’s and founded the winery, only to have it nationalized during the Soviet period. In 2008 the family bought back the original property and rebuilt a modern winery, fulfilling their ancestor’s dream.

The winery makes two red wines and a white. The 2014 Sadarapati Reserve Areni won a Gold Medal at the Spring 2018 Modus Vini International Wine Awards, and the 2016 Dry Red won a Silver Medal.
